Happy Sleepy trip to Japan and Shanghai confirmed

Letters of confirmation.

Happy Sleepy is going to Japan! And Shanghai!

We have been invited to the Onagawa Artist in Residency program for two weeks in August, to lead art activities with the community, and also to include our work in the JR Line Art Project exhibition cohosted by Hiyori Art Centre in Ishinomaki, a neighbouring town, following the residency. We have today received good news about our art grant application to the Canada Council for the Arts and have already been confirmed for an exhibition assistance grant from the Ontario Arts Council, so the trip is a go!

As Japan is far and neither Marc or I have been there before, we have extended our trip for a total of 5 weeks, from 19 August to 30 September 2013.

And as the internet pricing of flight deals would have it, on the day when we bought our tickets I found a great deal by including a week stopover in Shanghai. So we will be there from 30 September to 7 October 2013.

Very excited and can’t wait.
