Notebook: immersive sculpture and installation idea sketches 25 November 20157 August 2013 Inhabitable sculptures – a flat or textile painting with a cut-out for the face. Become the character. Some notebook sketches of possible art projects. These were done at the time of brainstorming the Tandem Flight project. Hugging sculpture – a fan blows up a balloon of fabric, so that when you get close to put your face in the hole the fabric billows out and behind your body to give you a hug. It also makes your body disappear into the sculpture that is billowing out around you. Pumpkin shaped textile installation with interior diorama and projections, and holes in the surface for peeking in. The projectors would be inside and outside. Sketch of flapping wings on a flying tandem bike – from the making of the Tandem Flight project. From Tandem Flight – essential components of a flying tandem bicycle. Forced perspective reality tunnel with diorama installation inside and projections from the outside to the inside.
